Twin Lakes SS in Orillia is celebrating ’50 Years of Twin’, and the school community has planned a weekend celebration to commemorate the occasion. Past and current students, staff, and community members are invited to join the celebration.
What: Twin Lakes SS 50th anniversary celebration
When: Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29

Highlights of the celebration include:
Friday, April 28
- Meet and greet, 6:30-7:30 p.m., library
- 'Thunder Years – Five Decades of Twin Lakes Productions', musical production, 7:30-8:30 p.m., cafeteria
Saturday, April 29
- Open house, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., throughout the school
- Official ceremony, 10:30-11:30 a.m., cafeteria
- Alumni athletics, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
- 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. - volleyball-a-thon (gym)
- 1 p.m. - men's basketball alumni game (gym)
- 2 p.m. - women's basketball alumni game (gym)
- 2 p.m. - flag football game (field)
- 'Stay and Play' for anyone who has played in any of the Twin Lakes SS bands, in Room 229 (music room). All are welcome. Instruments will be available, or you may bring your own.
- 12-1 p.m. - concert band
- 1-2 p.m. - jazz band
Individuals planning to attend ‘Thunder Years - Five Decades of Twin Lakes Productions' are advised to buy tickets in advance, as limited seats are available. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the school.
