10 SCDSB elementary schools combine to donate over 27,000 items in Holiday Cheer Challenge
A total of 27,554 food items, toys and clothing items were collected by the 10 Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) schools that took part in the Holiday Cheer Challenge.
This year, the Minesing Central PS Global Action Team elves challenged other schools to collect food, toys, hats, mittens and monetary donations. The items were donated to various organizations around Simcoe County, including local food banks, toy drives and charitable organizations, including Barrie and Area Christmas Cheer.

- Ernest Cumberland ES
- Forest Hill PS
- Huron Park PS
- Huronia Centennial ES
- Minesing Central PS
- Oakley Park PS
- W.R. Best Memorial PS
- Wyevale Central PS
The SCDSB is proud of the efforts and community spirit that SCDSB students and staff at schools, Learning Centres and administrative centres across Simcoe County have shown in raising funds and collecting items for those in need this holiday season.
