Published on Jun 25, 2018 09:05

The Township of Oro-Medonte and the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) are formalizing plans for development of a joint use facility in the Township of Oro-Medonte. This facility is proposed to include a 357 pupil place elementary school, an EarlyON Child and Family Centre and community centre.

After investigating potential locations, Township and board staff identified a Township-owned property located east of the intersection of Horseshoe Valley Road and Line 4 North (known as 739 Horseshoe Valley Road West) as the preferred location. Staff are currently in the process of carrying out the necessary due diligence to confirm the feasibility of the site.

This project presents a unique opportunity to provide residents and students with a facility and services in a cost effective manner that maximizes the benefits to the community.

Please note that the planning and development of a facility can take considerable time.

More information including anticipated completion dates and partnership details will be shared as they become available.
