Grade 7 students ‘choose their own well-being adventure’ at leadership conference
In June, Grade 7 students from elementary schools in the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) are participating in the Choose Your Own Well-being Adventure Leadership Conference. Students will attend the conference on either June 9 or 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the SCDSB Education Centre in Midhurst.
Participants will attend workshops focused on strategies to support their own mental health and well-being and those of their school community, incorporating outdoor education, music, gratitude, identity, and self-care. Workshops will be led by SCDSB staff and supported by Grade 11 and 12 leaders from Nottawasaga Pines SS.
This initiative links directly to the SCDSB Strategic Priorities in the areas of Well-being, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
