Twin Lakes SS to celebrate 50th anniversary April 28 and 29
Twin Lakes SS in Orillia is celebrating ’50 Years of Twin’, and the school community has planned a weekend celebration to commemorate the occasion. Past and current students, staff, and community members are invited to join the celebration.
What: Twin Lakes SS 50th anniversary celebration
When: Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29
Where: 381 Birch St., Orillia
Highlights of the celebration include:
Friday, April 28
- Meet and greet, 6:30-7:30 p.m., library
- ’50 Years of Thunderbird Productions’ drama performance, 7:30-8:30 p.m., cafeteria
Saturday, April 29
- Open house, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., throughout the school
- Official ceremony, 10-10:30 a.m., cafeteria
- Alumni athletics (volleyball and basketball in the gym, flag football on the field - weather permitting), 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
Individuals planning to attend the ’50 Years of Thunderbirds Productions’ drama performance are advised to buy tickets in advance, as limited seats are available. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the school.
