SCDSB staff and community partners invited to ‘Spring Back to Nature’ at outdoor learning event

On May 14, the Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) invites all staff, as well as community partners, to participate in ‘Spring Back to Nature’, an outdoor conference providing the opportunity to reflect on wellness and learning in the outdoors.

Interested staff and community partners are invited to connect at Springwater Provincial Park on Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. to learn from, and with, others. Workshops will be interactive and provide ideas for enhancing personal and professional well-being. The event will feature several guest speakers from across Simcoe County and the province and include a wide variety of topics such as learning in the outdoors for Grades K-12, child, youth and adult mental health and wellness, self-regulation and connecting with nature.

SCDSB employees can register now via Apply to Education, and community partners can register and learn more on the event website.

This initiative links directly to the SCDSB’s Strategic Priorities under the pillars of Excellence in Teaching and Learning, Well-being, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and Community.
