Schools throughout Simcoe County to join water walk in Midland May 24

Students from Mundy’s Bay Public School in Midland are inviting their peers and other community members to join them in a walk for water on Friday, May 24. The walk will begin at the Midland Town Dock at 11:30 a.m. Water will be carried by students down King Street and poured into Little Lake at approximately 12:30 p.m.

The walk was inspired by the Junior Water Walkers movement, and is intended to honour our water, show gratitude for this life-giving resource and send good thoughts for the well-being of its, and our, future.

Public schools from Midland, Penetanguishene and surrounding areas, and even some from Barrie, will join the walk.

This initiative links directly to the SCDSB’s Strategic Priorities under the pillars of excellence in teaching and learning.
