More than 100 Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) educators and their child care partners will take part in an outdoor education conference on Feb. 10.
Mittens in the Snow will feature hands-on workshops and presentations exploring topics such as mindfulness, French language learning, inquiry and math in the outdoors, snow shelters and surviving the snow for Kindergarten to Grade 12 educators.
This year, we welcome the author of The Big Book of Nature Activities, Jacob Rodenburg. Jacob will facilitate the Nature Education throughout the Seasons workshop where he will offer examples of fun, hands-on strategies for reconnecting children to nature.
The conference takes place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Tiffin Centre for Conservation, located at 8195 8th Line in Utopia.
