On Oct. 14, the courtyard and fountain area of Barrie’s City Hall will be transformed into a space focused on positive, youthful energy during the Barrie Farmers’ Market. Students from the Integrated Arts program at Innisdale Secondary School are hosting an interdisciplinary arts event and fundraiser in support of child and youth mental health at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH).
Beginning at 9:30 a.m., students will share family-friendly dance and musical performances that highlight the benefits of being healthy in body and mind. Students will be selling a variety of miniature artworks, with 100 per cent of all proceeds benefitting the RVH Foundation. Free children’s activities will also be available.
Following the event, a photography exhibition depicting highlights of the day will be on display in the City Hall Rotunda (in November and December) and at RVH (in the new year).
Individuals who are unable to attend can also donate online.
