‘Fiddler on the Roof’ at Bear Creek Secondary SchoolMarch 20, 2017 Category: School EventsBack to News Page

The Bear Creek Arts Department is presenting Fiddler on the Roof from March 30 to April 1.
Auditions for the show started in October. The show features a cast of 30 students who rehearse at least two times a week.
“Rehearsals started in early November and everyone has been working tirelessly on vocals, choreography, staging and performances,” says Laura Bruno, teacher at Bear Creek. “We have many staff and students working hard behind the scenes. We have a cross-curricular focus with cosmetology, fashion, visual art, digital art, construction and business classes all involved in the production."
Mrs. Bruno adds: "Our pit band and the music department have spent hours in rehearsal to prepare for Fiddler on the Roof. The collaboration of a variety of departments within the school is what makes a large production such as this come together smoothly, and beautifully."
Performances take place on the following dates and the public is welcome to attend:
  • March 30 – 7 p.m.
  • March 31 – 7 p.m.
  • April 1 - 1:30 p.m.
  • April 1 – 7 p.m.
Bear Creek Secondary School is located at 100 Red Oak Drive in Barrie. Tickets are $12 and can be purchased through the school.
